CBS has set February 2024 returns for most of its primetime dramas including the NCIS and FBI franchises, Fire Country, CSI: Vegas, Blue Bloods, The Equalizer and more.
On the slate for February are two new drama series Tracker, starring Justin Hartley, and Elsbeth, headlined by Carrie Preston.
However the post strike slate leaves no room for the previously advertised drama series Matlock, with Kathy Bates in the lead role, and comedy series Poppa’s House starring Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr., neither of which will see the light of day until the 2024/25 broadcast season, according to the Network.
CBS is the first Broadcast network to announce its 2023/24 slate in the aftermath of WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes over pay and working conditions that have dominated the headlines in recent months. However, we can surely expect ABC, and FOX to follow suit in the coming weeks.
NBC has been sitting pretty recently with 4 drama series already wrapped and airing over the weeks of strike negotiations. Their lineup includes new drama series The Irrational and Found, and the return of Quantum Leap for season 2, and Magnum P.I. for the remainder of its fifth and final season.
The CW has likewise been busy filling its slate with foreign acquisitions such as Sullivan’s Crossing, Everyone Else Burns, The Swarm and more, along with unscripted and video clip fare such as FBoy Island, and Totally Weird and Funny among others.
