The longest running sci-fi series in the universe is back with a trio of specials starring David Tennant and Catherine Tate.
Disney+ and the BBC are set to go global with 3 new episodes to mark the 60th anniversary of Doctor Who.
The first instalment titled “The Star Beast” will air on Nov. 25, followed by “Wild Blue Yonder” on Dec. 2, and the ominously titled “The Giggle” wrapping up proceedings on Dec. 9.
The episodes will be broadcast on the BBC in Ireland and in the Uk, and on Disney+ in the US.
The specials reunite the Fourteenth Doctor (Tennant) and Donna Temple-Noble (Tate) as they come face-to-face with their most terrifying villain yet: the Toymaker (played by Neil Patrick Harris in his Doctor Who debut).
Additional new cast includes Yasmin Finney as Rose Temple-Noble, Miriam Margolyes as the voice of the Meep, and Ruth Madeley as Shirley Anne Bingham.
Returning are Jacqueline King as Sylvia Noble, Karl Collins as Shaun Temple, and Jemma Redgrave as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart.
The specials are a warm up for 2024 when Ncuti Gatwa finally makes his much anticipated debut as the 15th Doctor.
Doctor Who is the longest running action-adventure television series in the world spanning 60 years and winning over 100 awards. Doctor Who is produced by Bad Wolf and BBC Studios.
