Prime Video’s The Boys returns to our screens this Thursday, June 13, for fourth season.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) today series showrunner Eric Kripke broke the news that Season 5, which will air sometime in 2025, will also be the show’s last.
“The Boys Season 4 Premiere Week is a good time to announce: Season 5 will be the Final Season! Always my plan, I had to be cagey till I got the final OK from Vought. Thrilled to bring the story to a gory, epic, moist climax. Watch Season 4 in 2 DATS, cause the end has begun!” Kripke wrote.
Season 4 of The Boys finds the world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son as well as his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.
The Boys is based on The New York Times best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, who also serve as executive producers, and is developed by executive producer and showrunner Eric Kripke.
