The cultural juggernaut that is Alan Wake shows no sign of stopping.

Fresh from Remedy Entertainment’s triumphant live musical performance of Herald of Darkness on Dec. 7, where survival horror game Alan Wake II picked up awards for Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, and Best Art Direction, comes the news that Alan is about to make the leap to Behaviour Interactive’s Dead by Daylight.

“We are thrilled to bring Alan Wake, our tortured writer, into the acclaimed Dead by Daylight,” said Sam Lake, Creative Director of Remedy Entertainment.

We feel the lore of our two horror experiences is a match made in the Dark Place and can’t wait to experience the horrors that await him in the Fog.”

The online multiplayer survival horror is synonymous with showcasing licensed characters from horror and sci-fi genres including Alien, Chucky, Hellraiser, Resident Evil and many more.

Given that Dead by Daylight gameplay surrounds a violence and malice-loving creature called The Entity, who exists between dimensions, luring serial murderers and victims to an arena in which they kill or are killed, Alan Wake feels like a natural fit.

Remedy’s game focuses on Alan Wake (voiced by Matthew Porretta, with physical likeness by Ilkka Villi) a tortured writer who finds himself trapped by a malevolent presence in The Dark Place, where he must re-write his own and others realities in order to escape.

Check out the official Dead by Daylight trailer, featuring Alan Wake below. Alan officially enters the fog on January 30, 2024.

Play Dead by Daylight on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
