The cast of Netflix’s upcoming movie The Thursday Murder Club has swelled to include David Tennant (Doctor Who), Jonathan Pryce (Game of Thrones), Naomi Ackie (Blink Twice), Daniel Mays (Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget) and Henry Lloyd-Hughes (Killing Eve).
The Amblin/Netflix movie, based on Richard Osman’s 2020 novel of the same name, is written and directed by Chris Columbus, and produced by Jennifer Todd.

Mirren takes on the tole of ex-spy Elizabeth, while Kingsley will play ex-psychiatrist Ibrahim and Brosnan former union activist Ron.
“I’m so proud of this book, so it is a dream to see The Thursday Murder Club in such incredible hands,” Osman previously said. “From Chris Columbus, to Amblin to Netflix, there are geniuses everywhere I look. And what a cast. I’m pinching myself.”
Speaking today on his Podcast The Rest is Entertainment, Osman added “There’s some great names and some more names coming as well. I think this is the greatest British cast assembled since the Harry Potter movies.”
The Thursday Murder Club is the latest film to be produced as part of Netflix and Amblin’s film partnership, which also includes the upcoming Carry-On starring Jason Bateman and Taron Egerton.
