Last week we reported that Netflix was the latest streamer to call for an increase on the price of a subscription to its service.

The move followed similar price hikes from Discovery+, Hulu, and Disney+, with a strong likelihood of AppleTV+ performing a similar maneuver in the near future.

That future is now, apparently. Today, the streamer announced a subscription fee increase from $6.99 per month to $9.99 per month, an increase of 43%.

Overall, an annual subscription to the streamer will now increase from $69 per year to $99 per year.

From today, Apple Arcade now costs $6.99 per month, while Apple News+ runs at $12.99 per month, and Apple One will set you back $19.95 for an individual plan, $25.95 for a family plan, and $37.95 for a premier plan.

Changes are effective today, and subscribers will see the increases on their next renewal date.

Speaking in a statement on the price increase, AppleTV+ said “We are focused on delivering the best experiences possible for our customers by consistently adding high-quality entertainment, content, and innovative features to our services.

“Since launching four years ago, Apple TV+ has made history for streaming services by crossing major milestones in a short span of time, thanks to its extensive selection of award-winning and broadly acclaimed series, feature films, documentaries, and kids and family entertainment.”

Apple TV+ is home to such titles as For All Mankind, Foundation, Severance, Silo, The Morning Show, Schmigadoon, Lessons in Chemistry, Strange Planet, Ted Lasso, Invasion, and more.
