Mark your calendars because The Crown’s final season is almost upon us!

The series returns for a sixth season on premiering Thursday, Nov. 16, but there’s a catch. The final season will be split into parts, with the remaining episodes premiering Thursday, Dec. 14.

The first batch of episodes (4 in all) will “depict a relationship blossoming between Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed before a fateful car journey has devastating consequences,” according to Netflix.

Part 2 (comprising 6 episodes) will see “Prince William try to integrate back into life at Eton in the wake of his mother’s death as the monarchy has to ride the wave of public opinion,”

Addtionally, “as she reaches her Golden Jubilee, the Queen reflects on the future of the monarchy with the marriage of Charles and Camilla and the beginnings of a new Royal fairy tale in William and Kate.”

The final season is set to cover some of the British Monarchy’s most tumultuous years from 1997 to 2005.

In the first look teaser trailer below all 3 iterations of Elizabeth (Claire Foy, Olivia Colman, and Imelda Staunton) can be heard questioning the nature of her legacy, and the personal cost thereof.

Returning in the final season are Staunton, Jonathan Pryce, Dominic West, Elizabeth Debicki and Lesley Manville.

Ed McVey and Meg Bellamy will also make their long-awaited debuts as Prince William and Kate Middleton.
